FAQ

Do I need a partner?

This is the number one question that we get asked, and the answer is no!  We cater our lessons to singles and couple a like.  If you don’t have a partner, your teacher will be your partner!  That’s right, you get a professional dancer as your very own dance partner!  He/she will help you become a great dancer through our one on one instruction.  We tailor the lesson to your learning ability and style, so you are sure to learn as quickly as possible.

How much does it cost?

Here is another common question that doesn’t have one simple answer.  We start all of our new students with our introductory program of 3 lessons for $47..  After your lesson, your instructor will help you pick out a program that is right for you.  We have packages that range from $80 to $700.  If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at (480) 442-9188.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever makes you comfortable.  We have students that wear shorts and t-shirts, and we have students that wear slacks and button-up shirts.  The most important thing is for you to be comfortable.  As for shoes, we usually recommend staying away from sneakers or gym shoes, the rubber on the bottom makes you stick to the floor and can cause an injury.  Eventually you will want to get dance shoes, but in the beginning it isn’t required.

How often should I take lessons?

In the beginning we recommend you take your lessons as close together as possible.  We like to create new muscle memory in your body so that you will begin to retain the information easier.  After the first few weeks, you can come in as often or as little as you would like.  Most of our students take 1 to 4 lessons a week, which includes the group classes and Friday night parties!  The more you come, the easier it gets!

Will my lessons be at the same time every week?

They can be. It is up to you and your dance teacher.  We offer flexible schedules and they can change from week to week.  You can schedule your lessons Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What dances can I learn?

Basically anything that requires two people to dance, we can teach it to you.  Our instructors teach American and International style, and many social dances such as the salsa and many country dances.
